They looked huge

When the guy sent me the picture of the bees the swarm looked huge.  I thought they were in a tree and the branch was fairly large, it was just the camera angle.  These girls were about half the size of a football, kind of small as swarms go.  They were ready to get into the nuc. As soon as I shook them in, they all started calming down and finding the box. Most times there are a bunch left behind, not this time, I think he said the left overs were about the size of a child’s fist.
