I got a call from a construction group that is working at the airport. They said the bees hadn’t been there for very long.  Good thing I have a habit of taking more than I need.  I started talking to the guys who work there. They said the bees had been there for at least 6 months. They were in these metal things that were like a triangle, when put together they formed a square hollow box.  The bees had taken up residents inside of one of them. One of the workers pried them apart and that is when I saw the rather large hive.  There was some brood and some honey.  I actually saw the queen! Most times I don’t see the queen because there are so many bees, but this time she walked right out. I put the brood and comb in a hive, then the bees walked right in.
