Craftmanship you don’t see anymore

When I first looked at this project I didn’t realize the craftmanship that went into building this porch. You don’t see this kind of work anymore. He used 2X12’s throughout, and put 3 inch nails every 3 inches. The bees were behind the board under the porch. It took 2 of us almost 30 minutes to get the nails out so we could get the board off. The bees have been there about 1 year and built well. Some of the panels were 10 inches wide and 12 inches long. There was lots of honey, but very little brood for as large of a hive as it was.
